Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect residential waste and recycling materials along designated routes.
- Operate refuse collection equipment and mechanisms under the supervision of a driver.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of collection vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including traffic laws and waste handling regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress, issues, or hazards.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of collection vehicles and equipment.
- Interact professionally and courteously with community residents.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
- Lift, push, and pull heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift.
