Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently collect residential waste and recycling materials along designated routes.
  • Operate refuse collection equipment and mechanisms under the supervision of a driver.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of collection vehicles and equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including traffic laws and waste handling regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress, issues, or hazards.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of collection vehicles and equipment.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with community residents.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat.
  • Lift, push, and pull heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift.
