Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in comprehensive on-the-job training programs to learn various welding techniques and safety procedures.
- Assist senior welders with setup, material preparation, and general shop duties.
- Perform basic welding tasks under direct supervision, following instructions and specifications precisely.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools responsibly and safely.
- Clean and inspect welded products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Learn to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, or welding specifications after training.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals and maintain workflow.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn a skilled trade.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and consistently.
