Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead technicians with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of wind turbine components and systems.
  • Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for daily tasks, ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly handled.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at turbine sites, strictly adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
  • Learn and diligently apply all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fall protection, confined space entry, and emergency response plans.
  • Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections of turbine parts, reporting any anomalies or potential issues immediately.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by observing, accurately reporting findings, and diligently following instructions from senior technicians.
  • Actively participate in all mandatory safety briefings, training sessions, and team meetings.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under direct supervision.
  • Assist with documenting tasks completed, inventory management, and contributing to site reports.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technical skills and adapt to evolving job requirements.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders (often to great heights), lifting heavy equipment, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong commitment to safety and strict adherence to all regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and remote locations.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and eagerness to develop technical skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a trade, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles, hydraulics, or mechanics.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation or basic machinery.
  • Post-secondary education or vocational training in a technical field or related discipline.
