Are you an experienced and highly skilled Window Cleaner with a passion for pristine views and a commitment to safety at height? Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and meticulous individual to join our growing team as a Building & High-rise Window Cleaner in Meanwood, Leeds. As a High-rise Window Cleaner, you will be an integral part of our operations, responsible for executing complex cleaning tasks using various access methods, including abseiling (rope access), BMUs (Building Maintenance Units), and powered access platforms (MEWPs). Your role will involve more than just cleaning; you’ll be a visible representative of our commitment to quality and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality window cleaning on commercial and residential buildings, including multi-storey and high-rise structures.
- Utilise various access equipment safely and efficiently, including rope access (abseiling), BMUs, cradles, and MEWPs (cherry pickers, scissor lifts).
- Conduct thorough pre-work inspections of equipment, sites, and access points to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices for working at height.
- Prepare and maintain cleaning solutions and equipment, ensuring they are used correctly and stored safely.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding job status, potential issues, and safety observations.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety refreshers as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including vehicles and equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial window cleaning, with specific experience in high-rise or challenging access environments.
- Proficiency in using various access equipment (e.g., abseiling gear, BMUs, MEWPs).
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations, particularly those related to working at height.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work comfortably at significant heights.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to cleaning.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification (Level 1, 2, or 3).
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) qualification for operating MEWPs.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Experience with water-fed pole systems and traditional cleaning methods.
- First Aid certification.
