Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Window Cleaner specializing in building and high-rise operations to join our dedicated team in Sheffield City Centre. Your role will involve the meticulous cleaning of exterior and interior windows on a variety of commercial and residential high-rise buildings, utilizing advanced access equipment and techniques. This isn’t just about cleaning; it’s about precision, safety, and pride in your work. You will be expected to conduct thorough risk assessments, adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, and operate specialist equipment such as Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), cradle systems, and potentially rope access (abseiling) gear. Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality window cleaning services for commercial and residential high-rise buildings.
- Operate various access equipment including MEWPs, cradles, and potentially rope access systems safely and efficiently.
- Perform thorough pre-start checks and routine maintenance on all equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies, particularly those related to working at height.
- Conduct site-specific risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and supporting colleagues.
- Maintain a professional appearance and interact respectfully with clients, building occupants, and the public.
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and work schedules as required.
- Manage and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and good working order.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in high-rise window cleaning.
- Proven proficiency in operating MEWPs (e.g., cherry pickers, scissor lifts).
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety protocols for working at height.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks at height.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- IRATA Level 1 or 2 (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification.
- IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) PAL Card.
- PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) certification.
- Full UK Driving License.
- First Aid at Work certification.
