Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, safe, and inspiring yoga classes to diverse groups and individuals.
- Develop and implement creative class sequences appropriate for various skill levels and yoga styles.
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
- Provide clear verbal cues, hands-on adjustments (with consent), and modifications to accommodate individual needs and abilities.
- Build rapport with students, fostering a strong sense of community and encouraging consistent practice.
- Adhere strictly to studio policies, procedures, and class schedules.
- Occasionally participate in studio events, workshops, and community outreach programs.
- Stay current with yoga trends, philosophies, and continuing education to enhance teaching skills.
Required Skills
- Certified Yoga Instructor (minimum RYT 200 accreditation)
- Proven experience teaching a variety of yoga styles (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and yoga philosophy as it pertains to safe practice
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and content to meet the needs of diverse student populations
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Genuine passion for wellness, health, and community building
Preferred Qualifications
- RYT 500 certification or equivalent advanced training
- Specialization in specific yoga modalities (e.g., Prenatal, Kids Yoga, Yin Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with studio management software or online booking systems
- Previous experience working in a dedicated yoga studio environment
