Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finding interviews with clients to assess their financial situation, needs, and objectives.
- Research and recommend suitable mortgage products from a wide range of lenders, ensuring best fit and competitive rates.
- Prepare and submit accurate mortgage applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and compliant.
- Liaise effectively with lenders, solicitors, estate agents, and other third parties to ensure smooth transaction progression.
- Provide ongoing advice and support to clients throughout the mortgage process, from initial inquiry to completion.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the mortgage market, regulatory changes (FCA), and product innovations.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Proactively manage and nurture a pipeline of leads and existing client relationships.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and key performance indicators.
Required Skills
- CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualification.
- Proven track record as a Mortgage Broker or Mortgage Advisor, ideally with 2+ years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK mortgage market, products, and regulatory framework.
- Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and mortgage sourcing systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional financial planning qualifications (e.g., CeRER).
- Experience with specialist lending, such as bridging finance or commercial mortgages.
- Established client bank or network for potential lead generation.
- Fluency in additional languages.
