As a Transport Canada Inspector, you will be on the front lines, ensuring compliance with an extensive array of federal regulations, policies, and international standards across various modes of transport, including aviation, marine, rail, and road. Your work will directly support the department’s mandate to foster a safe, secure, and efficient transportation system for all Canadians.

Your daily activities will involve conducting thorough inspections, audits, and investigations of transportation operators, facilities, and equipment. This demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of technical specifications, and the ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks. You will meticulously assess operational procedures, personnel qualifications, safety management systems, security protocols, and environmental protection measures to identify any deviations from established guidelines.
