Key Responsibilities
- Lead guided dogsled tours safely and effectively through various terrains.
- Provide engaging and informative commentary to guests about dogsledding, local environment, and dog welfare.
- Harness, unharness, and care for sled dogs before, during, and after tours, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Conduct pre-trip safety briefings and provide basic mushing instruction to guests.
- Maintain and prepare dogsledding equipment, including sleds, harnesses, and lines.
- Assist with daily kennel duties, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and general animal husbandry.
- Monitor dog health and behavior, reporting any concerns to management.
- Ensure all safety protocols and company policies are strictly adhered to.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and ensuring a memorable experience.
- Work collaboratively with other guides and staff as part of a cohesive team.
- Perform basic trail maintenance as needed.
Required Skills
