Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor a comprehensive network of CCTV cameras and surveillance equipment.
  • Proactively identify and report suspicious activities, security breaches, and potential threats.
  • Accurately log all incidents, observations, and actions taken in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with security personnel, law enforcement, and other relevant parties during incidents.
  • Retrieve and review recorded footage for investigations, providing evidence as required.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all sensitive information and surveillance data.
  • Conduct regular system checks to ensure all CCTV equipment is fully operational and report any faults.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and legal guidelines regarding surveillance operations.
  • Assist in the training of new team members on surveillance protocols and equipment use.
  • Provide prompt and efficient support in emergency situations, coordinating with response teams.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar surveillance role.
  • Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to maintain high levels of concentration for extended periods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting incidents.
  • Proficiency in using modern CCTV monitoring software and equipment.
  • Ability to react calmly and decisively in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrable understanding of security protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Basic IT literacy and ability to work with incident management systems.
  • Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) CCTV Public Space Surveillance licence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience with advanced analytics features in CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) as they apply to surveillance footage.
  • Previous experience working in a control room or command center environment.
