Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for anomalies, alerts, and potential threats, responding promptly to security incidents.
- Perform detailed analysis of security events, logs, and network traffic to identify root causes and patterns of attack.
- Execute vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to uncover weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks.
- Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to enhance our overall security posture.
- Contribute to the incident response lifecycle, from detection and analysis to containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into system design and software development lifecycles.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, recommending proactive measures.
- Provide expert guidance and support on security-related matters to various internal stakeholders.
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives for employees.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts comprehensively.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, including incident response and threat analysis.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security principles.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Elastic Stack) and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools and methodologies (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OWASP Top 10).
- Knowledge of common attack vectors, malware types, and forensic techniques.
