Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks meticulously to ensure optimal operational efficiency and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans and specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve complex mechanical failures.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly in our CMMS.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or operators as needed.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to processes or equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and calibrated.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise (3+ years) in mechanical system troubleshooting and repair within an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Solid knowledge of safety standards and practices in an industrial environment (e.g., LOTO, confined space).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various conditions (e.g., elevated heights, confined spaces).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC systems and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or heavy industrial setting.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Welding or fabrication experience (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Certification in specific mechanical trades or equipment operation.
