Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and desired experiences.
- Research, propose, and customize compelling travel itineraries including flights, hotels, cruises, tours, and ground transportation.
- Book and confirm travel arrangements using various global distribution systems (GDS) and supplier portals.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel insurance, visa requirements, health advisories, and cultural nuances.
- Manage client accounts from initial inquiry through post-trip follow-up, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience.
- Handle changes, cancellations, and special requests efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain accurate client records and manage booking documentation.
- Continuously update knowledge on travel trends, new destinations, and supplier promotions.
- Address and resolve any travel-related issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Actively seek to grow client base through referrals and excellent service.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of international geography and popular travel destinations.
- Proficiency with GDS (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo) or major booking platforms.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a home-based office effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to sell and upsell travel products and services.
