Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated International Humanitarian Worker to join our global response teams. This pivotal role involves deploying to areas affected by crises, conflicts, or natural disasters, providing essential support and implementing critical programs designed to alleviate suffering and restore dignity. You will work on the front lines, assessing needs, coordinating aid distribution, and collaborating with local communities and partners to ensure effective and culturally sensitive interventions. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct rapid needs assessments in emergency zones to identify immediate humanitarian priorities.
  • Implement and monitor aid programs, including food security, shelter, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and protection initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics for the distribution of humanitarian supplies and resources.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with local communities, government authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure program activities adhere to humanitarian principles, international standards, and organizational policies.
  • Provide training and capacity building to local staff and community members where appropriate.
  • Prepare detailed reports on program progress, challenges, and impact.
  • Represent Hiring.zycto in relevant forums and coordination meetings.
  • Manage project budgets and resources efficiently and transparently.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in humanitarian aid or international development, preferably in conflict-affected or disaster-prone areas.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, international humanitarian law, and ethical conduct.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging environments.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and contexts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Resilience and a high level of emotional intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Humanitarian Action, International Development, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to field operations (e.g., French, Arabic, Spanish).
  • Experience with specific humanitarian clusters (e.g., WASH, Shelter, Food Security, Protection).
  • Certification in hostile environment awareness training (HEAT) or similar safety/security training.
  • Familiarity with remote sensing tools and data analysis for humanitarian contexts.
