Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry-Level Lube Technician to join our growing team in Burnaby Mountain, Burnaby. As a Lube Technician, you will be the cornerstone of our service department, performing essential vehicle maintenance that keeps our customers safe and their vehicles running smoothly.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and comprehensive vehicle inspections. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine oil and filter changes on various makes and models of vehicles.
  • Conduct comprehensive multi-point vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and basic component wear.
  • Rotate tires and balance wheels as required.
  • Inspect and top off all vital fluids, including power steering, brake, transmission, and windshield washer fluids.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the service bay.
  • Assist senior technicians with various tasks and learn advanced diagnostic and repair procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and findings.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Document services performed and recommendations accurately.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in vehicles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience (even personal) with vehicle maintenance or hands-on mechanical work.
  • Completion of a relevant automotive program or courses.
  • Basic understanding of shop tools and equipment.
