In this pivotal role, your responsibilities will encompass providing comprehensive, tier-one technical assistance and support for a wide array of computer systems, hardware, and software issues. Your daily tasks will involve expertly diagnosing and resolving diverse technical challenges, ranging from routine password resets and critical application errors to complex network connectivity issues and peripheral device malfunctions. You will patiently and effectively guide our diverse user base through troubleshooting processes, escalating more intricate or persistent problems to senior IT staff when necessary, always ensuring clear, concise, and consistent communication throughout the resolution lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues over the phone, via email, or in person.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, guiding users through problem-solving steps.
  • Install, configure, modify, and repair computer hardware, software systems, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms, including Active Directory.
  • Accurately document all help desk interactions, including details of inquiries, comments, complaints, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on IT equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Escalate unresolved complex issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g., Network Administration, System Administration) with thorough documentation.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite (O365 applications).
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Proven experience with hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation, or similar IT certifications.
  • Experience with remote desktop software and management tools (e.g., TeamViewer, RDP).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) platforms and support.
  • Previous experience in a corporate IT help desk or customer support environment.
