Key Responsibilities
- Operate subway trains safely and efficiently in strict accordance with established schedules, signals, and operational procedures.
- Monitor train controls, track conditions, and passenger compartments to ensure a secure environment for all commuters.
- Communicate effectively with central control, station staff, and passengers regarding operational status, delays, or emergencies.
- Perform pre-departure inspections and post-arrival checks of train equipment and systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, emergency protocols, and company policies, reporting any incidents or anomalies promptly.
- Provide clear and concise announcements to passengers, ensuring they are informed and comfortable.
- Undergo continuous training and recertification to maintain operational proficiency and stay updated on system enhancements.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions precisely.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French (bilingualism is highly valued).
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during emergencies.
- Excellent spatial awareness and reaction time.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods and perform required operational duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a transportation, logistics, or highly regulated operational environment.
