Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival, presenting menus and explaining daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing our POS system efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table setup and resetting.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required for evening shifts.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar waiting role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of food and beverage service procedures.
- Proficiency in using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Impeccable personal presentation and hygiene.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with fine dining or a high-volume restaurant.
- Knowledge of various cuisines, wine pairings, and cocktail menus.
