Hiring.zycto is seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Montreal. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of supervisors and employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards (ISO, HACCP, GMP etc.).
- Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and manage plant budgets, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Sales, R&D, Supply Chain) to achieve company-wide objectives.
- Identify and implement new technologies and processes to enhance operational capabilities.
- Manage capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
Required Skills
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in plant management or a similar senior operational role within manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent financial acumen with proven experience in budget management and cost control.
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and production management software.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from shop floor to executive management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, Industrial Engineering).
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with automation and industry 4.0 technologies.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset for the Montreal location.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
