Key Responsibilities
- Washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing various fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients according to recipes and chef's instructions.
- Assisting line cooks and chefs with basic cooking tasks, such as measuring ingredients and assembling dishes.
- Ensuring all food preparation areas are clean, tidy, and sanitized throughout the shift.
- Storing food items properly, rotating stock, and monitoring inventory to minimize waste.
- Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, mixers, and other tools.
- Adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) at all times.
- Assisting with dishwashing and general kitchen clean-up as needed.
- Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety (training provided).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
