As a Courier – Local Delivery with Hiring.zycto, you will primarily be the friendly and professional face of our operation. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to designated addresses within Sutton Coldfield and surrounding areas.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective operations.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain a clean and tidy company vehicle.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent service at all times.
- Accurately record delivery and collection information using handheld devices or manual logs.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring their integrity from collection to delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage delivery schedules and adapt to unforeseen changes or challenges on the road.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding any delivery issues or delays.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (B category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven experience in a multi-drop or local delivery role (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent knowledge of Sutton Coldfield and the wider Birmingham road network.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical fitness to handle packages of various sizes and weights throughout the day.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
