Job Description

Are you an accomplished and meticulous Senior Accountant ready to make a significant impact within a dynamic finance team? Hiring.zycto, a leading financial consultancy based in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, is seeking a highly skilled individual to bolster our finance operations. This isn’t just a number-crunching role; it’s an opportunity to shape financial strategies, streamline reporting, and ensure the fiscal health of our expanding portfolio. We pride ourselves on offering bespoke financial solutions to a diverse clientele, and your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

As our Senior Accountant, you will be a cornerstone of our finance department, responsible for overseeing complex accounting procedures, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. You will play a pivotal role in month-end and year-end close processes, meticulously reviewing reconciliations and journal entries. Beyond routine tasks, you’ll be instrumental in developing and implementing robust internal controls, identifying areas for process improvement, and providing insightful financial analysis to guide business decisions. We are looking for someone who thrives on precision, possesses a keen eye for detail, and can communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Your day-to-day will involve a blend of operational tasks and strategic initiatives. You’ll mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment where best practices are shared and professional development is encouraged. The ideal candidate will be adept at utilising modern accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks, and will have a solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS. This role demands a proactive approach, an unwavering commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet critical deadlines. If you are passionate about finance, dedicated to driving efficiency, and eager to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation, we invite you to apply. Join Hiring.zycto and become an integral part of a team that values your expertise and supports your professional growth in the heart of Birmingham.
