Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes across Walsall and surrounding areas.
- Load, secure, and unload goods safely and efficiently.
- Deliver parcels and packages to customers and businesses in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures.
- Handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or delays promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Proven experience as a Van Driver, preferably in local delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of Walsall and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages safely.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
