Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers to their desired destinations across West Bromwich, Birmingham, and surrounding areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout their journey.
- Utilize company dispatch systems and navigation tools effectively for ride acceptance, route optimization, and real-time coordination.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the assigned vehicle, conducting regular pre- and post-shift checks.
- Strictly adhere to all local traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Accurately manage fares, process payments, and issue receipts as required.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or other personal belongings.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with passengers, dispatch, and colleagues.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and working hours.
- Address passenger inquiries, complaints, or specific needs with professionalism and courtesy, escalating issues to dispatch when necessary.
- Represent Hiring.zycto with integrity and a positive attitude at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B) with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Current Private Hire (or Hackney Carriage) Driver's License/Badge issued by a relevant local authority.
- Excellent knowledge of West Bromwich, Birmingham, and the wider West Midlands road network.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and smartphone-based dispatch applications.
- A clean and responsible driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience (e.g., taxi, private hire, delivery driver).
- Familiarity with various payment processing terminals.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., checking oil, tire pressure).
- Advanced driving qualification (e.g., IAM RoadSmart, RoSPA Advanced Drivers).
