As a Warehouse Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for far more than just transportation. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company delivery vehicles (e.g., box trucks, vans) on planned routes.
- Load and unload merchandise, ensuring accurate counts and secure placement to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order details with customers upon delivery, obtaining signatures and proof of delivery as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and staging orders, when not on delivery routes.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and digital logs for deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required for this role, but a plus for future advancement).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Hialeah/Miami-Dade area.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or higher (if applicable for larger vehicles).
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Proficiency with GPS devices and delivery management software.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus in the Hialeah area.
