Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate import and export shipments across air, sea, and road freight.
- Prepare, check, and process all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
- Liaise effectively with carriers, agents, customs authorities, and clients to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers to secure competitive pricing for clients.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to clients on their cargo status.
- Ensure strict adherence to all international trade compliance, customs regulations, and company procedures.
- Handle customs clearance procedures, tariff classifications, and duty/VAT calculations.
- Resolve any operational issues, delays, or discrepancies that may arise during transit.
- Process invoices, manage billing, and maintain accurate financial records related to shipments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional customer service and solutions.
- Utilize freight management software and other internal systems efficiently.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in freight forwarding (import/export).
- Solid understanding of international shipping regulations, incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing all relevant shipping documentation.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Customer-focused approach with problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
