Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-in and check-out procedures with a focus on hospitality.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications with precision and a guest-first approach, ensuring all details are accurate.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving for satisfactory resolutions and elevated guest satisfaction.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, local attractions, dining options, and transportation, acting as a local ambassador.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, maintaining strict adherence to cash handling and credit card procedures.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies and informational materials are readily available.
- Collaborate seamlessly with housekeeping, concierge, and other departments to ensure smooth guest operations and coordinated service delivery.
- Operate multi-line phone systems, direct calls to appropriate departments, and take messages accurately and politely.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation as required to support front office efficiency.
- Uphold high standards of security and confidentiality for guest information and hotel property at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 18 months) as a Front Desk Agent, Hotel Receptionist, or similar client-facing role in the hospitality sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, Mews, or similar Property Management Systems).
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proven capability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A consistently friendly, professional, and customer-focused demeanor with a genuine desire to serve.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as per operational needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality is a plus.
- Eligibility to work legally in the United Kingdom.

- Previous experience specifically within a hotel or guesthouse environment in Glasgow or across Scotland.
