Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and servicing of assigned guest rooms and common areas, adhering strictly to established cleanliness and hygiene protocols.
- Change bed linens, make beds neatly, and replace used towels, toiletries, and other amenities.
- Vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, dust and polish furniture, and meticulously clean all surfaces including mirrors and windows.
- Sanitize bathrooms, ensure all fixtures gleam, and restock supplies as needed.
- Promptly remove all trash, waste, and soiled linens from guest rooms and designated service areas.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items found during cleaning to the appropriate supervisor without delay.
- Politely and efficiently respond to guest requests and inquiries, striving to ensure their utmost satisfaction.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of linen closets, supply trolleys, and other storage areas.
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments, including front desk, maintenance, and laundry.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable ability to maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Physical stamina and the capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and push for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Effective time management skills to ensure all assigned duties are completed efficiently and within set timelines.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a team.
- Basic verbal communication skills to interact courteously with guests and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months of previous experience as a Housekeeper, Room Attendant, or in a similar cleaning role within the hospitality sector.
- Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment.
- Understanding of COSHH regulations and general health and safety standards in a cleaning environment.
