Key Responsibilities

  • Handle, sort, and grade various types of fish and seafood according to size, quality, and species specifications.
  • Clean, gut, fillet, and trim fish using specialized tools and equipment, maintaining high standards of product quality and yield.
  • Operate and monitor processing equipment such as filleting machines, cutting tools, and packaging machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to operational guidelines.
  • Package and label finished seafood products accurately and efficiently, preparing them for storage and shipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations, HACCP protocols, and company sanitation standards, including maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain a consistent pace in a fast-moving production line.
  • Lift and move heavy boxes or containers of fish and other materials, requiring physical strength and stamina.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and ensure overall operational success.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional physical stamina and strength, capable of lifting and moving heavy loads (up to 50 lbs/23 kg) frequently throughout shifts.
  • Proven manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise and efficient handling of fish and processing tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cold, humid, and sometimes wet environment for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality, accurate sorting, and proper packaging.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic, demonstrating punctuality and commitment to assigned tasks.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions diligently and safely.
  • No known allergies to fish or seafood products.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced production setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or similar industrial environment is highly advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with production settings.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety principles (e.g., HACCP) or a willingness to learn and adhere to strict hygiene standards.
