Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces in commercial and domestic settings.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas to a high standard.
- Empty waste bins and manage appropriate disposal of refuse.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines, while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or potential hazards observed during cleaning tasks.
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within specified timeframes and to the client's satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of proven experience in commercial or domestic cleaning roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity to perform demanding cleaning tasks.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment usage.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines meticulously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full UK driving license and access to own reliable transport.
- Previous experience operating industrial cleaning machinery (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners).
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
