Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Window Cleaner specializing in building and high-rise structures to join our dedicated team in Hillington, Glasgow. You will be operating advanced cleaning equipment, including rope access (abseiling), cradles, and elevated work platforms (MEWPs), ensuring every window is left spotless and streak-free. Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-rise window cleaning using various access methods including rope access (abseiling), cradles, and Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs).
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices for working at height.
- Conduct thorough pre-inspection of all equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE) before each job.
- Assess job sites for potential hazards and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and exterior building elements to a high standard, ensuring streak-free results.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment in good working order, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively within a team to complete schedules effectively.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment checks, and safety logs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on new techniques and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in high-rise window cleaning, including rope access and/or MEWP operation.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations for working at height.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in varying work environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 certification for rope access.
- IPAF certification for operating MEWPs.
- First Aid certification.
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience with various cleaning techniques and solutions for different glass types.
