Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a visionary and dedicated individual to serve as a School Board Trustee for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in regular School Board meetings, committee meetings, and public forums.
  • Develop, review, and approve policies that govern the school district, ensuring alignment with provincial legislation and community values.
  • Oversee the annual budget process, ensuring fiscal responsibility and allocation of resources to support educational priorities.
  • Represent the interests of students, parents, and the community, serving as an advocate for their educational needs.
  • Monitor the overall performance of the school district, including student achievement and well-being outcomes.
  • Engage with community stakeholders, including parents, educators, and local organizations, to gather input and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Uphold principles of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all governance activities.
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the long-term development of the public education system.
