Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, light trucks) on established routes within Historic Downtown, Sanford, and surrounding areas.
- Efficiently load and unload goods, ensuring secure transit and accurate delivery counts.
- Adhere to planned delivery schedules and communicate any potential delays promptly.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest, and other required documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing inquiries professionally.
- Handle goods with care to prevent damage and ensure product integrity.
- Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist with warehouse tasks or special deliveries as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with using GPS devices.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in delivery, driving, or a related customer-facing role (even informal).
- Familiarity with the Sanford, FL area and local routes.
- Experience using handheld devices for delivery tracking.
