Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently during night shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all safety components are in working order.
- Execute timely pickups and deliveries of goods according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents encountered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or any operational challenges.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Adhere to company procedures for handling goods and documentation.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions, incidents, or safety concerns promptly to management.
Required Skills
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work consistently during night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operation and safety.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in a professional driving role (even non-CDL) or similar logistical support position.
- Familiarity with the Margate, FL area and surrounding routes.
