Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor at construction sites, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, such as drills, saws, and grinders.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles and staging areas.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, masons, electricians) with various tasks.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles, hazards, and debris.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations at all times to maintain a secure work environment.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and construction drawings as needed for project tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with the construction team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a construction worker or in a similar manual labor role.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Physical strength, stamina, and manual dexterity for demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a cohesive team.
