Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Technician – Infrastructure to join our growing team in Formby, Liverpool. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in the deployment, management, and optimization of our cloud-based infrastructure, primarily focusing on ensuring high availability, performance, and security across various cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. As a Cloud Technician, you will work closely with our engineering and operations teams, providing essential support for our cloud environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure resources across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Monitor cloud system performance, availability, and security using various tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Implement and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for operational tasks.
  • Participate in capacity planning and scaling activities to meet evolving business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards within the cloud environment.
  • Perform routine backups and assist in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployments and optimize infrastructure.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
  • Solid grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls).
  • Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with Windows Server environments in the cloud.
