Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking an exceptional and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technological strategy and execution as we scale. As our CTO, you will be the driving force behind our product’s technical architecture, development roadmap, and the growth of our engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Lead, mentor, and expand the engineering and development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of all technological systems, infrastructure, and products, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Drive architectural decisions, technology choices, and best practices across the organization.
- Manage the technology budget, resources, and vendor relationships efficiently.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and integration into our product offerings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver seamless and impactful solutions.
- Represent Hiring.zycto as a technical leader at conferences, industry events, and with potential investors.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software development and engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (VP of Engineering, CTO, etc.)
- Proven experience building and scaling technology platforms in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Deep expertise in modern software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and scalable data solutions.
- Strong understanding of full-stack development, including front-end, back-end, database management, and DevOps practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage diverse technical teams.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a problem-solving mindset.
- Demonstrable experience with agile methodologies and modern software development lifecycles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience as a CTO or lead architect in a successful startup from inception to significant scale.
- Experience with AI/ML integration, blockchain technologies, or specific industry domain knowledge relevant to data solutions.
- Strong network within the Toronto tech community.
