Hiring.zycto is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Entry-Level Technology Business Analyst to join our growing team in the vibrant Old Town of Edinburgh. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior Business Analysts in gathering, documenting, and managing functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders through various techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys).
- Participate in the analysis of existing business processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and potential efficiencies.
- Help translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, use cases, and process flows for development teams.
- Support the creation of project documentation, including scope definitions, business requirement documents (BRDs), and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and project management teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) and system integration testing (SIT).
- Contribute to presentations and reports for stakeholders, communicating insights and project progress.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and business analysis methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- A foundational understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and business domains.
- Demonstrated aptitude for critical thinking and logical reasoning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Prior internship or project experience in a business analysis, IT, or consulting role.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools or techniques.
