Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently transport patients between hospital wards, departments, and other healthcare facilities during overnight hours.
  • Assist patients with mobility, including transfers to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Operate and maintain transport equipment, such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and oxygen tanks, performing daily checks.
  • Provide empathetic support and reassurance to patients throughout their journey, particularly during anxious moments.
  • Adhere strictly to all infection control, health and safety, and patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient handovers and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient transport activities and report any incidents or concerns promptly.
  • Respond to urgent transport requests quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of transport vehicles and equipment for use.
