Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Night Shift Forklift Operator to join our dynamic and growing team in Aberdeen, Scotland. Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move products and materials.
- Execute precise material handling, including stacking, storing, and retrieving goods within designated warehouse areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including load manifests, inventory logs, and equipment checklists.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operational flow and meet daily targets.
- Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper securing and handling.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in stock or damages to goods immediately.
Required Skills
- Valid RTITB or ITSSAR accredited Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck Forklift license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and paperwork.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks as required.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift operations.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working night shifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Additional forklift licenses (e.g., VNA, PPT).
- First Aid certification.
