Key Responsibilities
- Perform general farm duties including planting, cultivating, harvesting crops, and feeding/caring for livestock.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., tractors, ploughs, harvesters).
- Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as milking, cleaning pens, monitoring animal health, and assisting with calving/lambing.
- Undertake general maintenance and repair of farm buildings, fences, and equipment.
- Participate in irrigation activities, pest control, and weed management.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and farm protocols.
- Monitor crop growth and health, identifying and reporting any issues to farm management.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of farm produce and supplies.
- Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive farm environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in a farm worker role.
- Basic knowledge of crop cultivation and/or livestock management.
- Ability to operate basic farm machinery and tools.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to animal welfare and sustainable farming practices.
