Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage end-to-end technical program plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and risk management for large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and alignment between engineering, product, and other stakeholders.
- Identify, track, and resolve technical dependencies and roadblocks, proactively escalating issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels, providing regular updates on program status, challenges, and successes to senior leadership.
- Implement best practices for program management, advocating for process improvements and operational excellence.
- Contribute to technical strategy, working with architects and engineering leads to ensure scalable and robust solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior program managers and project leads, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management within a software development or technology-focused environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs from concept to launch.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), agile methodologies, and modern engineering practices.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence) and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems.
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant program/project management certifications.
- Prior experience as a software engineer or architect.
