Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Vice President of Finance – Corporate to lead our financial operations and play a pivotal role in our continued growth and success. Based in our Toronto headquarters, this critical leadership position demands a seasoned financial executive with a deep understanding of corporate finance, strategic planning, risk management, and financial reporting. You will be instrumental in guiding the financial health of the organization, working closely with the executive leadership team to formulate and execute our financial strategy.

As VP of Finance, you will oversee all aspects of our financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, accounting, and taxation functions. Your expertise will be crucial in developing robust financial models, forecasting future performance, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the implementation of best-in-class financial controls. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and drive initiatives that enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee all financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, providing actionable insights to executive leadership.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash management, capital allocation, and investment strategies to optimize financial resources.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
  • Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and other executive team members, providing financial expertise and guidance on major business decisions, mergers, and acquisitions.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, with significant leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and capital allocation.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
