Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
- Deliver engaging and effective virtual therapy sessions using our telepractice platform.
- Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support regarding communication strategies and progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure holistic client care.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in speech-language pathology.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set forth by relevant regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of Ontario (CSHHPCO) or equivalent provincial regulatory body.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating a variety of communication disorders across different age groups.
- Proficiency with telepractice technologies and virtual communication tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity for independent work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a remote or telepractice setting.
- Bilingualism (English and French or other in-demand languages).
- Specialized training or certifications in specific areas of speech-language pathology (e.g., AAC, fluency, voice disorders).
