As a Remote Travel Consultant with Hiring.zycto, you will be the cornerstone of our clients’ travel dreams, guiding them from initial inspiration to flawless execution. You will engage directly with individuals and groups to understand their unique preferences, budgets, and travel aspirations. Utilising your extensive knowledge of destinations, resorts, cruises, airlines, and ground transportation, you will design and present comprehensive travel packages that exceed expectations. Your role will involve researching and recommending diverse travel options, negotiating with vendors to secure the best rates, and meticulously booking all components of the trip, including flights, accommodations, tours, transfers, and travel insurance.
Beyond the initial booking, you will serve as a primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after their travels, providing proactive support and swiftly resolving any issues that may arise. This includes staying updated on travel advisories, visa requirements, and health protocols to ensure a smooth and safe journey for every client. A significant part of your success will hinge on your ability to build lasting relationships, nurturing client loyalty through exceptional service and expert advice, encouraging repeat business and referrals. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
- Research, recommend, and book a wide range of travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, tours, cruises, and ground transportation.
- Develop customized and comprehensive itineraries and travel packages.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel restrictions, visa requirements, and cultural nuances.
- Process bookings, payments, and issue tickets/vouchers accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain strong relationships with various travel vendors and suppliers to secure favourable rates.
- Handle client inquiries, manage changes, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally before, during, and after travel.
- Stay continuously updated on industry trends, destination knowledge, and evolving travel regulations.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Utilize CRM and various booking systems effectively to manage client information and bookings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Travel Consultant or in a similar client-facing travel role.
- Excellent knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, trends, and travel products.
- Proficiency in travel booking software (e.g., GDS systems like Amadeus, Sabre, or online booking platforms).
- Strong sales acumen and exceptional customer service skills.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
- A proactive problem-solver with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognised travel industry body (e.g., ABTA, IATA).
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, Spanish, German) are a significant advantage.
- Experience with luxury travel planning and high-net-worth clients.
- Familiarity with CRM software for client relationship management.
