Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Sort and stage freight according to designated routes, destinations, and product categories.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment as required, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Verify product counts, inspect for damage, and report discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including counting, scanning, and relocating stock.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure daily operational targets are met.
Required Skills
- Proven physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and identifying goods.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar loading/unloading role.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification (Reach or Counterbalance) is a plus, but not essential.
- Knowledge of basic inventory management systems or scanning technology.
