Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive logistics strategies, including inbound and outbound freight, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Optimize operational workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall productivity.
- Manage and lead operational staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling to ensure optimal team performance and morale.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, workflow, and staff, generating detailed reports and actionable insights.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and finance departments to align operational activities with business objectives.
- Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
- Spearhead the adoption of new technologies and systems to enhance operational capabilities and data visibility.
- Proactively address and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in Operations Management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, warehouse management, and inventory control.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in operational planning, workflow optimization, and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
