Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Remote Dosimetrist to join our innovative and patient-centric oncology team. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and evaluate complex radiation therapy treatment plans (3D-CRT, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, HDR) under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist.
  • Perform dose calculations, distribute dose, and generate isodose distributions for various treatment modalities.
  • Utilize advanced treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, Pinnacle, Monaco) to optimize plans and ensure conformity to prescription.
  • Collaborate remotely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure seamless plan implementation and patient safety.
  • Assist in the localization of tumors, critical structures, and target volumes using CT, MRI, and PET imaging.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including plan checks and chart reviews, adhering to established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the electronic medical record system.
  • Stay current with advancements in dosimetry techniques, radiation safety, and relevant professional standards through continuous education.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of departmental protocols and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and expertise related to treatment planning and dosimetry to the clinical team.

Required Skills

  • Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Dosimetrist in a hospital or cancer center setting.
  • Proficiency with major treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, Pinnacle, Monaco).
  • Strong understanding of radiation physics, radiobiology, and radiation protection principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of treatment planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple complex tasks in a remote environment.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using remote communication and collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, secure messaging).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Dosimetry, Radiation Therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) planning.
  • Familiarity with various imaging modalities used in treatment planning (CT, MRI, PET fusion).
  • Experience with specialized treatment techniques such as brachytherapy.
  • Active membership in professional dosimetry organizations (e.g., CAMDT, AAMD).
