Hiring.zycto is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Seasonal Landscape Laborers to join our vibrant team in the Discovery District of Toronto. As a Landscape Laborer, you will be an integral part of our crew, responsible for maintaining and enhancing various commercial and public landscapes throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform various manual labor tasks to maintain landscape areas, including planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, and watering.
- Operate and maintain a variety of landscaping tools and equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare planting beds, apply soil amendments, and install new plant material including flowers, shrubs, and small trees.
- Assist with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring proper watering schedules for various plant types.
- Conduct general site clean-up, debris removal, and waste management to ensure neat and tidy landscape areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and to high quality standards.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from vehicles.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, site hazards, or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
- Ensure client satisfaction through meticulous work and respectful interaction on job sites.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Capacity to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic knowledge of common landscaping tools and willingness to learn their safe operation.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 3 months) in landscaping, horticulture, or a related outdoor labor role.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of plant identification and care.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to operate landscape machinery such as skid steers, mini-excavators, or larger mowers.
