Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and dependable Van Driver to strengthen our local transport and logistics team in Bradford, England. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a company van for local deliveries and collections within Bradford and West Yorkshire.
  • Plan and execute daily delivery routes, optimizing for time and fuel efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
  • Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, electronic logs, and maintain accurate records of movements and deliveries.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks, reporting any faults, maintenance needs, or issues promptly to management.
  • Adhere strictly to road safety regulations, company policies, and all relevant driving laws.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections, acting as a professional representative of Hiring.zycto.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding route progress, potential delays, or unforeseen issues.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including sorting and preparing shipments for dispatch, when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the company vehicle at all times.

Required Skills

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Proven experience as a Van Driver, ideally in a local delivery or logistics role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Bradford and surrounding West Yorkshire road networks.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and driving laws.
  • Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights (up to 25kg) safely.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery schedules.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for paperwork and record-keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience using handheld delivery devices or route optimization software.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Manual Handling training.
  • Customer service experience in a client-facing role.
